A stupid trap
I noticed how Seth Godin often calls something a trap when I'd use the word stupid. The thing is, the trap comes across differently than stupidity. People don't get as offended.
So I'll steal that. Let me practice it right now:
Watching TV is a trap.
Social media feeds are a trap.
Arguing online is a trap.
Blaming others is a trap.
Finding problems for every solution is a trap.
Quitting a corporate job to work your ass off as a freelancer just to think you're your own boss is a trap.
Living poor for years, so you can retire and live poor for the rest of your life is a trap.
Sometimes, I am a trap.
